Fave Five Friday #4

Raise your hand if your sick of me being mopey! I AM!

It's time for Friday Fives, my most memorable moments, favorite things, etc. So let's hop right on into my Fave Five, shall we! I was easily able to come up with these too. I didn't have to dig.

1. On Saturday we were watching Rock of Ages and Julianne Hough came on the screen singing with her hair blowing all Farrah-esque and Bug (my main man, he's 3) pointed at the tv & said, "Emmy!! Emmy!! Emmy's on tv!!!" This really should be all five, I win for the week.

2. On Tuesday night my dad & I watched wisdom teeth youtube for a solid 40 minutes. It was probably more. And it was awesome. I loved every minute of it. Let me tell you that this one is worth all 15 minutes and 44 seconds. It's hilarious.
You can't hit the unicorn, because that would be bad. very very very bad. very bad.  You gotta buy her flowers and take that girl to a ball.

3. I added some purple to my hair yesterday. Mardi Gras is this weekend so it's festive. Like I need an excuse, let's get real. It's awesome. Plus it's been 2 years since I've had any purple in my hair, far too long. For about a year my whole head was purple. It was really dark so you could only tell it was purple in certain light, but purple nonetheless!

4. Grey's was back on this week!!! YES! OH MY GOD. I won't tell you anything, because I'm well aware that not everyone is a freak like me that has to watch it live. No DVR-fastforward even though I have the capabilities. It was amazing. Watch it immediately!

5. I upped my weight on everything this week & it felt fantastical! If only I could stop with the wine and shit diet I might see more definition & results. But I like wine & tacos & pizza. Not sorry. I will be come summer though.

What are your weekend plans? Anything extra fun planned? #STLmardigras
Let's #backthatazzup & get this weekend rollin with miss Whitney
This song makes me wanna white girl dance, so that's precisely what I'm gonna do. I've also been known to actually roar at people while white girl dancing to this song. It was a party bus, no shame.

We're Getting There

Hi Friends! I tried. On Tuesday I really tried to get all pretty & get dressed up for Wardrobe Wednesday. In fact, I actually did it all. I went out to photograph the look & froze so I retreated inside & set up to shoot. I got a few shots I liked, kinda. The dress really should be shot outside. I'm still not feeling myself. I started having focusing issues & I got all flustered. It was best I called it quits before something unfortunate happened. So, I made some more coffee, which probably wasn't a great choice since I was already jittery. Eh. And I started to clean more. Here's what I took for #fotd

So today I share with you a look at my absolute favorite piece of clothing in my closet. It's a gem, I tell you. A Saint Louis Zoo crew neck sweat shirt circa 1999. This thing is so comfy. Not to mention about 3 sizes too big. I can only imagine how funny this looked on a 4th grader. It was purchased on an end of the year field trip. Everyone was dressed for summer, because it was. And it started to rain, storm, & be flippin cold. This is what was left by the time we made it to the gift shop. I also can only imagine how expensive this was.

This morning I worked on tax & insurance crap. Not exactly exciting stuff, but it takes thought & a bit of brain power so that's been keeping my mind from wandering.

I've been telling myself for weeks I will finally get caught up with the blog posts for my business. I like to do quick little write ups about the session and share a few images. Just so everyone can get a glimpse of my day. Because I know that everyone is just dying to know what my days are like *insert sarcastic grin here* So that is precisely what I am doing today.

The blog was set up with Wordpress and that's just annoying and difficult to work with so this morning I switched all existing posts to Blogger & made new collages because I have no idea what I did with the old ones. Welcome to my life. This afternoon I will work on new posts. There are like 20 of them, so I don't foresee myself finishing that up today. But at least I started the process! It's a resolution this year to do the posts as the sessions come so they aren't all stacked up and I end up having to do 20 at a time. Or at least weekly.

I have consumed an extremely large amount of caffeine today. And it's only noon.
An alarm system is being installed today, this should be interesting.
The next person to invite me to play Candy Crush is getting unfriend-ed.
I'm pretty sure this blog has turned into a lifestyle blog with a touch of makeup & fashion. I kinda thought it'd be a beauty & fashion blog with a touch of lifestyle. Not mad about it.

Happy Hump Day!

Follow your dreams, they said….

…. You'll be great, they said.
So that's what I'm doing. Following my dream of owning my own studio. And it's slowly but surely coming true. But what happens when someone who you thought you could be with forever turns around and tells you it's great to have dreams and all, but it's better to be 'self-sufficient?' The chain of events that preceded this conversation ended in me being dumped. Which yes, sucks, but I've been dumped before. I'll get over it & live. But the reasoning behind the dumping was partially that I have a dream to own my own studio. I'm making it happen but I still live with my parents. It's not like I'm 37 and still living at home I'm 23 and chose to make my dream my reality rather than buy or rent a house. Yes, sometimes this really freaking blows. It's not that I particularly enjoy living with my parents after being out on my own but I made a choice. And I am eternally grateful that they allow me to live here. I work, possibly not as much as I should right now; I can admit that, I file taxes and pay for my own things. From April until December I rarely have a free moment to even breathe. So who the hell has the right to tell me that I do not work hard enough?

And do you want to know the really shitty part? The part that I'm struggling to write because I'm a little bit ashamed. If he were to apologize and try to make up for it I would probably give him a second shot. I'm not really sure what this says about me or why I'm even thinking this, because let's get real, that isn't going to happen. But if it did then I wouldn't think twice about giving a second chance. Because that is what I do. I have faith that one day people aren't going to suck quite as bad. I'm also struggling with how can I possibly believe in someone who clearly doesn't believe in me?

The ironic thing about that is I never used to trust anyone. Well, I trusted a handful of people who broke down my walls, but it was hard to let those people in. I never really dated for this reason. I never thought all the pain that dating was sure to cause was worth it. Along the way I learned to have a little more faith in people and I learned to not think that everyone had malicious intentions. So I let this person in, I let down my walls. And let me tell you, it was freeing. It really did feel good to let someone get to know me without having to beat information out of me. I was comfortable with him. I was comfortable being my weird-ass-goofy self with him. We were comfortable together. He was worth letting in. I thought he had faith in my dreams becoming a reality. I was wrong.

Now, I don't want this to get into the story of how this man broke up with me. Because no one wants to read that and I don't want to write it. So I guess the point of my rambling is to get this off of my chest. I know I'm the only person who can make myself feel better. I'm trying to look for a positive.

I wasn't going to write today. Monday's are #makeupmonday and I really didn't feel like photographing a tutorial or a look this weekend or today. My heart wouldn't have been in it and it would have sucked. Blogging and writing does make me happy though and this has been some cathartic release. Hopefully it will help me to let go and get on with it. The positive I'm taking away today is that I made some word art that truly did make me happy.
This is an at least type of thing. Do at least one thing everyday that makes you happy. And don't let other people get you down. Believe in yourself. Believe in your dreams. Run after them, don't walk. Don't follow them. CHASE them. Have a really great week. I'm going to try to, that's for damn sure!

Fave Five Friday #3

Hey pretty people & happy Friday!! Raise your hand if you're ready for the weekend, I know I am! Wanna know why?? Besides the fact that it's the weekend. Tomorrow, Feb 22 is National Margarita Day. It's my favorite holiday! I dress like its spring/summer & partake in copious amounts of margs & tequila shots. Celebrate with me, tweet me your pics or tag me on insta insta @emikracht #nationalmargaritaday

On to my high 5 of the week!
1. On Wednesday my contractors aka Dad & Uncle started demo on my (and my dad's) building! Roof prep starts on Monday, weather permitting & I should have a new roof by the end of next week! (YAY) And then siding & windows (2 thumbs up for north light) & interior walls. When it's all done I'm going to have a fabulous boutique studio.

2. We had a pretty great Valentine's Day. We didn't go anywhere, we just cooked dinner & watched netflix & made fancy popcorn. Nothing too crazy. He got me a dozen roses & chocolate covered strawberries! noms! I made him some pretty cool word art and framed it up for him.

3. Yesterday was the first day in a really long time I woke up and there was no snow on the ground!! It was fabulous and reached like 60! Then it started to storm and tornado. Not so good, but I'm happy the snow is gone.

4. Reading this article about me & my sisters with chronic bitch face. We can't help it, y'all. Also, the giggle fit turned cackle fest that ensued as I read it while waiting on my oil to be changed.  Not to worry, I got sideways glances & looks of distain from strangers. They can go away.

5. Last night after the Olympics Blake Shelton sang Whenever Wherever. It was magical. Then Shakira sang Boys Round Here. THEN Usher sang Love Somebody the rest of the gang joined in. My god it just kept getting better Adam sang Without You. It was captivating. I kept rewinding. Huge Voice fan, always love Blake & Adam, especially loving the seasons with Shakira & Usher!

Fun tidbit of the week: It's Tricky came on my shuffle while I was on the treadmill yesterday. That song makes me happy happy. I rocked out. I received some sideways glances for that too. Not worried about it. Not a whole lot of people in the gym at the random time of 1 in the afternoon.
Since it's Friday we're gonna #backthatazzup with Whitney
In honor of RUN - D.M.C. & my gym rat jam sesh

Liebster Award round dos!

Hi pretties! The sweet Hollie from Sincerely, Hollie nominated me for the Liebster Award! Thanks, girl ;) I was curious as to what 'liebster' meant. Turns out it's a German word translated to English as sweetheart or darling. LOVE that! And if you could tell me how to pronounce it I'd love you!
I really enjoyed reading Hollie's post & getting to the girl behind the blog. I'm lucky enough to have been nominated a second time for this award! I really enjoyed my first go 'round so I'm excited for this one! If you're interested in getting to know the me from last year - liebster award round uno! The blogger I am has changed, I'll tell you that! It was fun to go back and read my random facts, the way I answered the questions & the questions I asked! This time around I didn't so much try to fit a mold. I definitely have grown in that aspect. No more trying to fit in; that's silly!

Let's begin, shall we?!
1. The nominee must acknowledge the nominator. Check out Hollie's post here.
2. 11 facts about yourself
3. Answer the 11 questions the nominator asked
4. Nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers
5. Create 11 questions to be answered by your nominees
6. Let your 11 know they're nominated!

Some random stuff about me:
1. Thor is my favorite - Chris Hemsworth is the epitome of male
2. If I'm watching An Affair to Remember it is best to not speak to me for at least an hour after it's over
3. Top Gun is my favorite movie
4. If a Marvel movie, Top Gun, The Holiday, or a Transformers movie is on TV I will drop everything to watch it - I own most of these
5. I can't stand anything artificially flavored orange. I love orange juice & oranges, but if it's artificially flavored, it's not coming near my mouth
6. Redbull make me want to vom I don't want that in my mouth either - a few too many 'bombs'  in my formative years
7. During the Olympics, if a United Statesian gets gold - when the Flag raises and the National Anthem plays I get teary eyed.
8. What color are my eyes? I usually can't answer that question accurately - they change constantly
9. I'm a Pandora junkie - the jewelry - not the internet radio
10. I once learned that I have enough Kenny Chesney on my phone to get me from Savannah, GA to home; a 700 some odd mile journey - no repeats
11. My family and I once drove to Vegas - it was def National Lampoon style

The Question's Hollie Asked:

4. What is your favorite desert?
 - I can't pick one - I love sweets

5. Favorite restaurant?

I nominate!
Michelle @ Running and Reviews
Kelsey @ Styled by Suzanne
Carrie @ The Way I See It
Hill @ From Mississippi With Love
Christine @ Rules For The Modern Girl

So I only tagged 5. The thing with that is I didn't want to be grappling around to make it to my 11 under 200 followers. I have been blogging since last May, but I took a long break and am really just now starting to get involved in the community with link ups and commenting. The girls I have nominated I have discovered either through link ups or browsing bloglovin' & genuinely enjoy their content. I didn't want to just tag 11 random people that I didn't follow or spend a whole lot of time looking at their blog, it seemed insincere. I think this is an amazing way to discover new blogs and make new friends! I'm just not the type to choose people at random. I like to read and 'get to know' people. Every blog I check out the 'about me' page is always where I go second, after I read the initial post that drew me in!
Have a great day, pretty girls! thanks so much for stopping by!

Wardrobe Wednesday - plaid & denim styled

Hey pretty girls! I hope your week is going well! I was so excited it was warm out yesterday so I could photograph outside. It was sunny & about 50 degrees - yay! It was super slushy out so I was confined to my porch again but that is certainly okay! We have really pretty brick so I'm not mad about it!
To me denim and plaid are two things that are always a staple in my closet & will never go out of style -  my country is showing. I love the way they look on their own, so why not style them together?!
This look can be worn during any season, except maybe summer, it might be a touch warm. But it is definitely a look you can rock in the spring and fall!
I have been experimenting with different ways to wear my denim vest and thought this look was way too cute not to add to my look book! What do you think about a post dedicated to all the ways I wear it? I like it, let's do it!
Aviators are also always in style. ALWAYS! I chose this gold Jennifer Lopez pair today. But I have several pairs in varying colors, because one is never enough. obiv
Shirt: Maurices - no longer listed on site, but you can find something similar in their selection
Vest: LC by Lauren Conrad - Kohls - this is a similar one, I don't believe it is the exact one I have. But, it is denim & washes often vary!
Jeans: Legging Jean - GAP
Boots - Varick - American Rag - Macy's
Necklace: Maurices
Sunnies: Jennifer Lopez - Kohls

Thanks for checking out one of my favorite looks no matter the season. Happy hump day! Be sure to join the linky party below and grab the button for your side bar! Have some fun, browse around, & meet new people! Tweet me your look @emikracht. share the love!!

oh.my.god. Becky, look at her butt

IT IS SO BIG. Yepp, I went there. Today we're gonna talk about butts. I could squat until my legs fell off. Rest assured that it would only be my lower legs falling off, because my big ol booty & thighs will still be there.

The big booty struggle is real, everything fits weird! It took me 20 years to find pants that fit me. Okay, Okay. Maybe I exaggerate when I say 20 years. But it has at least been 8 years. I discovered GAP jeans in the summer on 2012, I was 21 and it was beautiful. Jeans that don't gap at the waist?! Such a thing exists?! Why am I just now finding these?! All thoughts that ran through my mind.

These jeans fit me in every facet. Seriously some Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, magic jeans shit. Only I wasn't sharing these with 3 other people, just me. The 1969 Always skinny. The moment I put them on my life was changed. No more struggling to find jeans that fit my small waist & big ol bum. They didn't gap at my waist; they fit WELL. They weren't too tight on my ass; they fit WELL. They didn't show off every bump and jiggle of my thighs. AND they fit my calves well; they weren't baggy. They were quite pricey, but GAP has pretty awesome sales a lot. In the summer of 2013 I  the discovered the 1969 legging jean. SAME feeling when I tried them on. I have collected several pairs of each. It's a love affair that has been going on a year & a half. I have donated or sold all of my other jeans.

This is my tale ending the quest for perfect jeans.
And then there is this video, it cracked my shit up. SO TRUE.

And there you have it, a peek into the randomocity that fills my head while I shower! I really need a scribe while I'm in there.

Fave Five Friday! #2

This weekend my birthday celebrations came to a close. *insert sadface here*  All good things must come to an end. I've never understood why that is such a darn popular saying. I say WHY, why must all good things end? I guess to balance the universe. There was an episode of Charmed that addressed that; each plane had to have some element of 'greater good' & 'evil' because if one plane housed all the evil, then all hell (hmmm not the correct word) well, if all of the evil was contained in one place the same with all the good, the good would be like wayyy too good and every little wrong doing would be punishable, like saying damn or parking somewhere you're not supposed to would get you shot. I would be way dead by now.

Boy, do I digress! It's the season 6 finale of Charmed, by the way.
Anyway, I had a great week & my Friday Fives are as follows:

1) On Friday Ryan was finally able to trek through the snow to get to me. He gifted me opening day tickets for my birthday!!!! GO BIRDS! Along with a bottle of Illinois Cellar Velvet Red, an all time favorite & a minion bracelet. I'm really not sure how he knows me so well so quickly, but I'm completely okay with this! It's 52 days until Opening Day at Busch Stadium, if you were curious. I know you were. In addition to these gifts he bestowed upon my undeserving ass he also supported my copious drinking habits all weekend the weekend before last. I'm such a lucky girl! ;)
The minion bracelet is fantastic!

2) Another birthday gift, my bestest friend made me a "Fanciest of Popcorns" book. Filled with all kinds of delectable fancy popcorn recipes! Can't wait to make these delightful treats!! Also, she and I started working out on Monday, she basically kicked my ass. But that's okay! I've been enjoying getting to see her more & learning new things! (I know you're reading this, thanks girl!)

3) I won a merch bundle from one of my favorite new musicians! I talked about this on Wednesday, too! I can't wait to see what all comes to my door! Pretty freaking pumped!

4) THIS WINE! Bianchi New Age Red Wine. Get your bum to the nearest World Market. STAT. It's sparkling & if that isn't enough to get you on your feet, then we can't be friends any more. I kid, I kid. But seriously it is delicious! One of my best frans & I shared a bottle a while back. I was having an especially hard day. A hard time with a friend (a boy, imagine that) & had one hell of a day at work. She had just gotten a puppy, this wine & she also provided pumpkin pie. Obviously my hard day was instantly turned around! I kept going on incessantly about how much I LOVED this wine. It is carbonated for chrissake! And so sweet, but not sickening sweet. It's basically the nectar of Gods. She gifted me a bottle for Christmas and I was telling her that I still hadn't drank it because I knew it was so damn delicious, I was hoarding. So she also gifted me a bottle for my birthday. I proceeded to drink a whole bottle on Friday. The only place either of us has been able to find it is World Market, so if someone knows of somewhere else I can procure this, get at me!

5) My final favorite was going to be about the mani I got this week. It's pretty friggin' great. But as I'm writing this The U.S.A. just won Gold, Silver, & Bronze in Men's Freestyle Skiing. And that is far more great than any one thing I could ever describe as a favorite. I LOVE how the Olympians get teary-eyed on the Olympic Podium while the National Anthem is playing. It's emotionally moving. I don't cry, and I teared up just now. It's a great accomplishment for those 3 young men. They've made history. It's truly amazing. Not to mention the fantastic skills they throw on those jumps. I can't even imagine. AND they're younger than I, and have accomplished so much more than I could imagine. It makes me proud.

I'm totally still going to throw in the image of my nails. It's necessary. How awesome are the sprinkles, as I named them. I'll be famous.
Have a great weekend & a happy Valentine's day, whatever you may be doing!

Wardrobe Wednesday!!

Saturday I went to visit my best friend in Evansville. She goes to school there and one of our favorite bands/friends played at a bar down there. (Drew Baldridge, if you're interested. Check him out!) I always like to bust out my chambray. I have about 4 pieces and I'm obsessed with them all, but this is definitely my favorite & most worn. It is from Target. I paired it with a hunter green shirt with pink flowers and a pink bauble necklace, both from Maurice's. And jeggings from GAP. When I am seen in what appears to be denim it is safe to assume I am cheating. I hate jeans, more likely than not the denim on my body is stretchy. The boots are also a current favorite, they are from Macy's & always a big hit! And comfortable to boot. (Sorry, I had to.) Do you like my friend's mirror? It says "You are Beautiful!" I LOVE it!
This next one is my typical 'day at the office outfit.' I work from home, so when I am editing or blogging I don't typically get all dressed up. Comfy tee, sweater/cardigan, & leggings and I am set!. For purposes of photographing the post I put on some flats. Promptly after the shoot I removed them and put my fuzzy socks back on. I can be seen in fuzzy socks 98% of the time from October - April. Now, mind you, when I have a session or a potential/current client coming over I will put jeans and shoes on. I like to look presentable and not like a bum a dee bum.

I wear this jewelry nearly every day. My necklace was a high school graduation gift from Momma & Daddy. (I can't believe it's been 5 years, in May) The rings on my right pointer finger are Silpada. The feather ring on my right ring finger is Pandora. My earrings and bracelets are all Pandora as well. Obsessed much? My cardigan is from American Eagle, ages ago and my tee is from Express. This weekend at Express was 50% off already marked down clearance. The shirt was $4.99, jealous? Leggings are Target.

I'm writing this up on Tuesday, you probably guessed that by the 5AM post-mark. I am not some crazed person whom stays up all night writing posts… yes, I am. But I didn't  do that this time!
Anyways, right after I wrote yesterday's post I got a tweet from one of my favorite country musicians! Yessir, you read that correctly. I got a tweet from Jared Wade! He had a Free Merch Friday give away and I was one of 3 winners. lucky ducky. I thought that was a nice upspin to my cold cold day (I made up the word upspin, couldn't find another suitable term) I am ecstatic about the win!

Give Drew & Jared a listen.

Happy Wednesday!!

Chit Chat - It's cold, y'all!

I keep hearing people referring to Chicago as 'Chiberia.' Which is punny and I kinda like it. But wayyyy down here in Southern Illinois it is just as friggin cold. And true to form no one gives a damn about us down here in 'the middle of nowhere.' So I'm dubbing this S.I.beria. we are living in legitimate Siberia, in that it is cold and nobody thinks we exist out here. Yesterday we made it all the way up to 13, when I awoke the temp was -6. I suppose in retrospect it warmed up quite a bit! As I'm writing this it is a whopping 5 degrees. My Accuweather is telling me that it will get up to 20 today, but it is a poor day for outdoor fitness.
It has been so unbelievably cold this season, it is notably the coldest winter I can remember in my 23 years. In addition to my memory my parents cannot remember a colder winter either. All I hear is talk of the snow of 82. Apparently is was a snowfall of nearly 20 inches. But still not this cold. In true So. Ill. fashion it snowed damn near 2 feet and was gone in 4 days. Because, that is what USUALLY happens here, it snows an incredible amount and then shoots up to 50 degrees for a day, then back to the 20s. And I am totally okay with this. However, this year it has been hovering between 0 & 20 for months now. Aside from the random 2 days (not consecutive, mind you) that were seriously 50 degrees. One was a Saturday. One was a Monday. And they were weeks apart.
We have had some form of snow and/or ice on the ground since January 5. I am not a fan. Luckily, I have not fallen! Yet... Now that I proclaim this I will most definitely bust my ass. I'm going to counteract this statement with: I fell into my car on Saturday. I was bending down to sit in my car and my feet slid right out, I tumbled into my car and honked my horn. Kinda comical.
I hope this is enough to convince the powers that be to keep me on my feet.
Oh! Also, this is the first year I can remember snow on my birthday. And it wasn't exactly something worth celebrating. We got 8 freaking inches. I was in my office working on some things after lunch, my daddy took me to my favorite restaurant in town, by the way. Anyways, I had the blinds drawn bc editing images with sunshine flowing into the eyes makes for crap color balance. When I started no form of precipitation was coming out of the sky. 45 minutes, maybe an hour later, I emerged to refill my drink and there were 2 effing inches on the ground. TWO INCHES OF SNOW IN 45 MINUTES! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN???? I am fed up with this shit. Fed up, I tell you!
Looking forward to the 10 day forecast things seem to be perking up for us out here. 50s next week?! WHAT?? YES! (these are legitimate first impressions, I didn't research this before writing.) But fret not, the next week calls for ice again. I just really hope it is warms up a bit for Mardi Gras, I'm heading to St. Louis and it's my first time celebrating this truly fantastic holiday!
This e-card encompasses my feelings toward my fellow Southern Illinoisians:
Be forewarned friends, I will actually punch you in the face. Twice if the situation calls for it. And not just the first person. Every person who openly has a qualm with 90 degrees and 100% humidity gets knocked. Got it? ;)
End rant on the cold.
In other news, my March issues of InStyle and Glamour arrived today. The InStyle is seriously an inch thick! Speaking of these 2 publications, I didn't actually subscribe for them. They just started showing up in October, I think. I'm not complaining. If you're interested the only publication I actually subscribe to is SELF. I LOVE that magazine. Lots of great workouts and motivation. I recommend it!
My dad has also allowed me to park my car in his spot in the garage for the past couple days. Normally I'm stuck in the drive. But that's fine, he pays the bills he deserves a warm truck. But lately he has been parking in the shed, I think I know his motives though. The shed is heated, therefore an even warmer truck! But hey, that's okay with me. My car is closer and I don't have to brave the wind to get to it!

Have a FABULOUS Tuesday, friends!

February 10, 2014

Inspired: Snow White

It has been an unusually snowy season here in Southern Illinois. There has been some form of snow or ice on the ground since January 4. And before that we had a pretty large snow in the beginning of December. I am not a big fan of the fluffy white stuff, or the cold for that matter. But I'm making the best of it! The December snow brought me a beautiful, snowy engagement session, SO BEAUTIFUL!
And during this bout of snow I drew some inspiration to do a makeup look based off Snow White. I decided to take my inspiration from Snow on Once Upon a Time, the show on ABC. At the beginning of January I was OBSESSED with this show, watched the 2 complete seasons and caught up on the first half of season 3. I am very much looking forward to the return of the show in March.
The makeup & hair on the show are fabulous & the clothes are to DIE for! I want all of the things. Give them to me!

So without further ado. Here is the image of Snow I took my inspiration from:
http://www.farfarawaysite.com/section/once/gallery2/gallery1/hires/1.jpg

She's got a fresh, natural face with pink flushed cheeks. A clean, wispy wing on her eyes. Not a whole lot of eyeshadow, but some. She has a very no fuss, fresh aire about her & I love it!

Here are some images of the look I came up with!

The emphasis of Snow's look is definitely her flushed cheeks and beautiful wispy winged eyeliner. She doesn't have much liner on the bottom lash line & she doesn't have on false lashes like most of the other characters. I simply used a volumizing mascara, and she doesn't appear to have mascara on the bottom, but I feel weird with out it, so I added it to my look.

I have been loving this white sweater from Macy's this season, I wore it to my Friendsgiving & to my Christmas Day & Night activies. It is so soft and comfortable yet still looks very nice. I love adding different bold necklaces or scarves to it to switch up the look. So much love for this piece. I thought it very fitting for my Snow White look. I also chose to add an arrow ring, also very fitting for the fiercely loving Snow. She loves her bow & arrows. The ring is from Maurice's. I'm 85% sure my necklace is from For Love 21, but I've had it for years so there really is no telling. Earrings and bracelet are Pandora.

For products I used:
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Nude - under eyes & light handed highlighting - center of forehead, nose, & chin
NARS Laguna - very light handed contour around my hairline
Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Blush Heather Silk - Apples of my cheeks, lightly down the bridge of my nose, & a light dash on my temples.
Sugar Rose lip balm - has a sheer wash of color. LOVE

I used Urban Decay Naked and Naked2 palettes for my eyes
I primed with UD primer potion in Eden, pictured below this image.
From Naked:
Virgin all over my lid.
Sin in the inner corder and brow bone.
And Naked LIGHTLY in the crease and lower lash line.
I used all of these colors very lightly to help achieve the clean, fresh look. I basically just wanted to create a tiny bit of dimension.
Can you tell my deep love for my Naked Palette? So much pan!
From Naked2:
I set my black gel liner with Blackout, a deep matte black. I love this color, so pigmented.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner, blackest black.
I started in the middle of my lid, close to my lash line and started drawing stroke out toward the outer corner, then back toward the inner corner. I then started working on drafting out my wispy flick. After I got all the ground work laid I went back and deepened the line. I try not to get too much product on the first go so it dries and sets quicker. After I finished both lines I went back and set it with Blackout from Naked2.
I then went for my Colassal Cat Eyes. I added a couple coats to my top lashes and then just a quick little swipe to the bottom lashes.
